Motown conferma la pubblicazione di un doppio CD dei Jackson 5 in uscita il 22 Giugno.
Il set si chiamerà The Jackson 5: J5 Live @ The Forum e la data di pubblicazione coinciderà con il 40° anniversario dell’esibizione. Il suo contenuto annovera le registrazioni live (ancora oggi inedite) avvenute tra il Giugno 1970 e l’Agosto 1972 al Los Angeles Forum e vedrà la presenza delle più grandi hits della band, come I Want You Back, ABC, The Love You Save, I’ll Be There e Never Can Say Goodbye; di b-sides (il lato b dei singoli che uscivano in vinile), come I Found That Girl e I’m So Happy. Ci saranno anche estratti di albums, come Bridge Over Troubled Water e Zip A Dee Do Dah e canzoni mai pubblicate dai 5 fratelli di Gary, incluse due cover di James Brown e Isley Brothers, rispettivamente per i brani There Was A Time e It’s Your Thing.
Lo spettacolo del 1972 vedrà anche la presenza di alcune hits di Michael Jackson da solista, da Got to be There a Ben (quest’ultimo, era all’epoca il nuovo singolo) e uno spot solista di Jermaine.
